The GK-LTC Series Ultra Low Ratio Tap Coupler is designed to offer exceptional performance in scenarios
where monitoring of high-power optical signals is crucial. With tap ratios as low as 0.1%, 0.01%, and 0.001%,
this coupler enables precise sampling of light while preventing damage or saturation of sensitive photodetectors.
It is particularly suited for applications involving high optical power, such as fiber laser monitoring, EDFA
(Erbium-Doped Fiber Amplifier) systems, and DWDM (Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing) systems.
This coupler features a low tap insertion loss of 30 ± 3 dB, ensuring minimal signal disruption while diverting a
very small fraction of light to the tap port. The signal insertion loss is also remarkably low at just 0.1 dB, maintaining
high signal integrity. Its thermal stability is excellent, with a variation of ≤ 0.002 dB/°C, allowing it to perform reliably
across a broad temperature range from -40°C to +105°C.
The GK-LTC Series supports high average optical power up to 3 W and peak power for nanosecond pulses up to
10 kW, making it an ideal choice for environments with demanding power requirements. The coupler's robust design
ensures consistent performance and durability, making it a valuable component in advanced optical communication
systems and monitoring applications.
With its high power handling capabilities and precise light extraction, the GK-LTC Series Ultra Low Ratio Tap Coupler
provides accurate and reliable monitoring for critical optical applications, ensuring optimal performance and system
integrity.
